In The Rockin Dead the player takes the role of Alyssa, member of the rock band "Deadly Lullabyes" (all female, few clothes, big breasts - the usual). But as they make stop in a castle, the other two members get lost. Alyssa's job is of course to find out what happened. The scenario is arranged to look and feel like a horror B-Movie, so she meets many monsters and strange people.
This game is a classical point & click adventure, meaning that most puzzles are inventory based or revolve around multiple choice dialogues. Alyssa searches her surroundings, takes everything not nailed down and uses objects with other objects. In the patched 1.01 version all interactive items can be highlighted by pressing a button. A help system supports players who are stuck (three hints per topic; from vague to clear)
From the technical side the game is meant to played with 3D-glasses. The screens itself are in 2D, but sometimes Alyssa changes the level, i.e. she goes "into" the screen. But there is also the option to switch the 3D effect off. [source:mobygames]
