Sam & Max Episode 5: Reality 2.0 In the fifth episode of the first Sam & Max season, the duo needs to set free Sybil, who is stuck in the internet during her work as a beta tester. To access Reality 2.0, they have to find special goggles, while this episode's theme is used to have them launch a plethora of computer-related jokes in between. This virtual world is a weird and digital version of the real world. They discover that actions in the virtual world affect the real world and they can switch between the two. A seductive female voice tries to lure them in and Sam and Max think that the internet itself may be responsible.

Bosco is once again present, but now as a half-elf with a virulent biological weapon he only wants to exchange for one billion dollar. Through a money-laundering scheme the duo needs to acquire the Boscotech and launch a virus. As the entire internet is brought down as it loses its respect for humanity, Sam and Max need to win the trust back through a classic text adventure game and discover who is really responsible for all these events.

The gameplay is identical to the previous games in the series. The game is entirely in 3D and the player controls Sam. Sam can interact with the environment through mouse-based actions. He can talk to other characters, examine the environment, pick up items and use them with other objects. The inventory is shown as a cardboard box at the bottom of the screen. [source:mobygames]
