Skispringen 2000 is a simulation of the sport ski jumping which, in comparison to the RTL Ski series that followed it, lacks an official license. The handling is simple: a mouse click is used to time the take-off and landing; for correction and shifting to the v-stile the player has to make slight movements with his mouse.
The game features four ski-jump locations (Garnisch, Oberstdorf, Innsbruck and Hakuba) and eight athletes. It is only possible to play separate events at one location, there are no campaigns or world rankings. Successful jumps can be saved as video and the disc includes a video interview Jens Weißflog, a former German ski jumper.
