A backcountry snowboarding "simulation". The terrains are based on the topography of real mountains: Mammoth Mountain in California and Tuckerman Ravine (on Mount Washington) in New Hampshire. Each mountain includes seven or eight timed runs with defined starting and ending points. The game also has a "heli-drop" feature that lets you drop your boarder on any spot on the mountain and surrounding area.

The game uses a "rewind" feature when you crash. You can rewind (like a VCR) to before the crash, and continue your run. During gameplay, you are allowed three rewinds per run. Completed runs are recorded on a "virtual VCR". Recordings can be played back in slow motion, reverse, fast-forward, and saved to/loaded from disk. The files can be shared with other players.

In keeping with the simulation theme, the boarder action is heavily physics-based. This means that the gameplay is open-ended, but maneuvers can be difficult to execute. [source:mobygames]
