Game Classification

Space Shooter is a first person shooter written in BASIC. The controls are quite simple, using the numeric keypad the player can aim left, right, up and down and pressing "f" fires lasers. The goal for the player is to hit the spaceship that is flying in front of his or hers.

The spaceship will move about the screen quite erratically and using the movement controls the player must try to fix it in the targeting reticule. Once there the player should fire to destroy the ship. Once the ship is destroyed the player gains one point and a new ship will spawn. If the player fails to destroy the ship after the time limit is exceeded the computer gains a point. The player can play as long as he or she wishes on four different difficulty levels.
