The Spoiler is a freeware game in the point-and-click mouse controlled adventure genre. The main character is an attorney who needs to defend his client, an 18 years old boy, the primary suspect in a murder case. The player will have three days to investigate the case and be ready to go to trial. One of The Spoiler's unique features are the unusual puzzles. As in real-life situations, there's no clear indication when the player finds a puzzle (nor if he was successful, sometimes). The puzzle system works by relating correct inventory items, in-game locations (hotspots), statements from previously dialogs (notebook), etc.
In the fourth day, the player has to defend his case. The judgment day has all the elements of a courtroom movie: evidence, jury, judge, objections, and constant chilling and pressure. When the game is over, it is up to the player to decide if he won or lost, because the game deals with ethics, pity and justice, all in a very personal way.
