In this vector graphics game, the player is equipped with a shield that they must use to block spinning rhombuses launched at them by the giant Strong Bad head at the top of the room. The keyboard is used to move the character, as well as using the shield to block; blocking left or right influences what direction the projectiles will return to Strong Bad. The goal is to hit Strong Bad with his own projectiles, causing pieces of him to disappear. Though the "win" condition is to have Strong Bad completely disappear, the game just restarts at that point. Conversely, being hit by a projectile causes the player to explode, after which they promptly restart from where they left off with no points or lives lost.

StrongBadZone was first mentioned in the Strong Bad e-mail video games, in which a reader asked what Strong Bad would be like in a video game.

"Ooh! Ooh! I could also be in one of those 3-D vector games. And there'd be this awesome, huge, 3-D version of my head floatin' around. You'd be some kinda 3-D shield guy with a shield... Some kind of spikey-headed 3-D cyber-shield guy... with a cyber-shield. And you'd have to block my perplexing 3-D geometric attacks, or face certain 3-D doom!" [source:mobygames]
