An online party variant of Tetris, TetriNET is a simple TCP/IP client/server program that allows between 2-6 players to play simultaneously. The players play competitive Tetris and be the one "left standing" who hasn't had blocks reach the top of their individual field. A successful clearing of 4 rows/lines at once ("a Tetris") translate to added rows/lines for other players, increasing their field's block height. In addition to this standard Tetris gameplay, TetriNET features special blocks which can be obtained by clearing a row containing them, and can be used by pressing the number key corresponding to the target player's number. The game can also be played without special blocks.
