Traffic X is an expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator X in the Traffic series of add-ons that has been running since 1999.
The add-on includes 1,700 different aircraft variants based on over 80 aircraft models, with a focus on realistic AI behaviour. The different models vary from commercial jet airliners, regional jets, regional turboprops, business aircraft, general aviation aircraft and helicopters, to multi-national military aircraft, a first for the series. The traffic AI can be customized through the Traffic ControlCentre and ChronoTraffic is used to define aircraft and flights for specific years. All AI traffic can be tracked using the Traffic Radar with three modes: vertical speed and current altitude, bearing and distance, identification and true airspeed. Players can fully explore the airports and even guide AI aircraft to the parking positions, there are custom sounds
