Triagonal is a mobile phone puzzle game in which the player has to place falling gems in a certain way to make them disappear ? not unlike Dr. Mario, but with some special clues.
The crystals appear randomly in five different colours (green, yellow, red, pink, blue), either single or paired. The player has to build diagonals of (at least) three same-coloured elements by moving and rotating the gems accordingly to make them disappear. There are also two different layers (front and back) to consider; crystals pile up only if they are in the same layer.
If the player manages to crack at least one combination of each colour, s/he completes the word BONUS on the right side. This feat will be rewarded either by three wildcard gems that have a chameleon-like quality in adopting any colour or by a cross-hair to shoot out some unwanted crystals.
Chain reactions help to clear the space, but the gems fall faster and faster and when the field is packed, the game is over.
