A retired female spy and UNO master player called Felicia Blue is on vacation with her husband and two children, when she stumbles upon a conspiracy that forces her to go back to active duty.
UNO Undercover is another electronic adaptation of the popular card game, where players have to pile cards with matching numbers or colors. In the main adventure mode, the card battles are interspersed with adventure portions and cutscenes, where Felicia must infiltrate a criminal organization using disguises and spy gadgets. There's a quickplay mode available, where the player can start a direct round without any plot getting in the way, In either mode the opponents are computer-controlled, as the game doesn't support multiple human players.
The battles follow the rules of the original game: the objective is to discard all the cards in hand before the other players. When down to two cards, a player has to shout "Uno!" before discarding and being left with only one. Failure to do so results in a penalty of four cards added to the deck. A button appears on the player avatar, to shout or be challenged by an opponent.
Besides the normal UNO cards, like draw, reverse, wildcard and skip, there are some additional ones that act more like power-ups. The redecorate card has a paintbrush symbol, and changes the color of the pile and of every card in the deck to the same tone. The clone card assumes the characteristics of any other card in the deck. The lucky croc tooth card protects the player from any draw card for a number of turns (equivalent to the number on the card under it on the pile). The toe hold forces any opponent to hold three random cards in hand for several turns (related to their number). The double cross is a wildcard that changes the color of the pile and of two deck cards. The highland two-step makes two opponents swap hands. The sleep card is discarded along with a numbered card, and makes one selected opponent skip turns (determined by the number on the other card). The tsunami also is discarded with a numbered card, and forces a selected opponent to take a number of cards. The switcheroo makes two opponents switch places at the table.
