The player is in control of a paddle defending a goal/death area and must try to keep a ball in the playing field.
The objective is to stay alive as long as possible, gathering points by destroying bricks and sprites. Once the player has cleared all the bricks, they are teleported to the next level.As the game progresses it becomes increasingly more complex, with loads of beneficial as well as malicious extras coming along, which include multiball, laser, extralife, speedball, freeze. New sprites also populate the screen, altering the ball's paths or even destroying the bat on impact.
Vyrox is freeware and multiple free levels and skins for download are available on the author's website, which also features an online highscore listing.
The program can be run in either a window or full screen mode.
