Weisse Bescheid?! Das Horst Schlämmer Quiz is a quiz game based on and presented by the artificial character Horst Schlämmer, played by German comedian Hape Kerkeling. The basic playing process: At first every player (up to three) enters his name, gender and nationality. Then the players are presented with six categories with different rewards and have to choose one. After the narrator read the question the player who knows the answer has to press his assigned button and if he is correct he receives his reward. The winner is who has earned the most money at the end of the game.

There are a a fast and a slow playing mode. In the fast mode the money reward decreases with every second. This means is a player acts fast he can win more money - but he also loses it if he answers wrong. In the slow mode a player has unlimited thinking time after buzzing in and there are no penalties for a wrong answer. Therefore every player has two jokers to his disposal. The first one either changes the question category (single-player) or forces another player to answer the question (multiplayer); the second one offers more or less useful hints by Schlämmer. In both modes the game sometimes shows humorous scenes with Schlämmer which were produced exclusively for the game.

The game also features a bonus game where the player controls a car from the top-down view. There he needs to drive as fast as possible through the simulated city and avoid other cars. He also can accelerate his car very fast for a short time and jump over obstacles. Playing this bonus game unlocks clips from Kerkeling's former TV show Darüber lacht die Welt. [source:mobygames]
