Yogurt Commercial II is a pseudo-sequel to Epic Banana's previously released title of the same name. As in its predecessor players take the role of an actor, Tom, in a small commercial, acting out a pre-defined script provided in the Read Me through a series of cues, actions, and dialogue options. A strong emphasis is placed on free will, and so the player has the choice either to obediently produce the intended commercial or embellish and even wreck it as they see fit.
The gameplay in Yogurt Commercial II is similar to its predecessor but has been expanded on significantly. As in the previous game dialogue plays a central role of interaction, however dialogue trees have been done away with in favor of an always available 'menu' system; allowing the player to speak even where not required by the script. A prop box has also been added in the corner which can be rifled through at will in order to embellish aspects of the production, either by altering Tom's appearance or by providing new ways in which to interact with one's surroundings. The director will comment directly on your performance, however, and while he may not mind the addition of a hat or harmless flower protest may be made if a death ray is employed in such an innocuous commercial.
