The player's mission: as a government agent, their job is to case the apartment of a WikiLeaks media activist, Watergate-style, seeking to retrieve classified or embarrassing information leaks and obtain samples of the activist's biometric data for their superiors in the intelligence establishment. There is a lime limit of 1000 seconds to locate various items on a shopping list of sorts found in the various rooms of the apartment, after which the activist returns to their home and needs to be silenced by other means. Household furniture and appliances are searched by clicking on hot spots and waiting for the time to tick down revealing what, if anything, useful was found. A navigation bar on the bottom strip allows access to other areas of the apartment.
If the player is successful at locating all the hidden items within the time limit and exiting the apartment for the scheduled rendezvous they are treated to the commentary of a Greek chorus of graffiti on abandoned streets, questioning everything the agent's establishment stands for. A "best ending" exists, bypassing the meat of the game through appeal to the player's conscience as they are exposed to a litany of horrifying leaked details.
