There are more than 300,000 sudden cardiac arrests in the US each year. About 5% of the victims survive and only 30% of victims ever receive CPR from a bystander.
The AED Challenge program is an online skills refresher designed to keep cardiopulmonary (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) skills up-to-date by providing realistic practice scenarios and testing.
It's goal is to save lives by improving retention of AED and CPR skills in trained lay responders and increasing the number of people who do CPR on the scene of a sudden cardiac arrest.
